Program profile 02 · Creative production
Make a film that could only happen here.
A four-week production lab scheduled around your academic calendar, where Budapest becomes location, material and creative prompt—and every team completes an original short.

One shared production environment
Different forms. One creative language.
Students learn story, image, sound and production together before choosing the form that best serves their idea: live action, documentary, stop motion, mixed media—or a deliberate hybrid. No prior filmmaking or animation experience is required.
From first observation to a curated Budapest screening.
Each small crew completes a portfolio-ready short supported by a concise treatment, visual research and a documented production process.

Creative production network
Professional practice, expanded around the projects.
A core creative lead, joined by the specialists each cohort needs.
The lab's creative direction draws on the work and professional network of Milán Kopasz, a MOME Animation MA graduate whose independent and commissioned portfolio spans animation, live action, stop motion, compositing and hybrid production.
Guest filmmakers and craftspeople are selected around the work in development, extending the teaching team into cinematography, sound, production design, animation and post-production when needed.
